Art History classes
In this section, I will be sharing students' work in my Art History classes.
For my master's thesis, I developed a teaching method which allows the student to learn Art History through drawing, graphic projects and visual culture.
For more information, please contact me or read my thesis here.
Student's graphic diary cover "Learning to see"
Avant-garde project: an informative card for each movement
I have been having great feeback with this method. Also, results are visible through the national Art History exam’s grade levels of my students.
Instead of a traditional notebook, every students creates a graphic diary with all of the classes content
Besides teaching high-school level, I also teach in adult courses (ages 18 to 70).
The topics include: Ancient Greece and Rome, High Medieval Ages,
Renaissance, Barroque, Neoclassicism, 19th and 20th century art.
Beginning of class: every morning, students exhibited their cards about 20th avant-garde movements
Pages from a student's notebook/graphic diary
Collage exercise mixing various art movements
